Takai Ignition Module with Heat Sink and Fan ( Igniter )

For use with stand alone engine management systems OR vehicles that require an ignition coil with an igniter Takai's igniter module allows our performance ignition coils to work with aftermarket engine management systems and OEM systems that require a dedicated ignitor unit.

Along with the performance you expect from Takai, we have also designed our products to protect against potential threats to your components such as reverse polarity protection and thermal overload.

Takai designs all it's components to PREVENT PERMANENT IGNITER FAILURE. Not to be confused with typical off the shelf ignition module/igniter solutions all Takai igniters come with internal thermal protective and shutdown circuits. In the event the circuit gets too hot it will operate at 50% duty cycle to cool itself down before thermal overload sets in saving the igniter from permanent damage. The second stage of protection is thermal shutdown and will re-activate the circuit once it has cooled down to a pre determined level.

Takai also designed it's external igniter to be fully ECU compatible from the factory meaning there are no current limiters up to 12 amps and we equip all our igniters with a heat sink and fan cooling unit for high amperage applications.

Takai's single channel igniter is less complex than many other designs which leads to less channel crosstalk when high output components are used and since Takai igniters are meant for high output they also increase system performance.
